Please carefully read the General Terms & Conditions (GTC) before booking a trip with us. By making a booking, you acknowledge that you have understood and agreed to these terms. We also encourage you to review all trip details on our website to ensure you are well informed about the itinerary, level of activity, accommodation, and other important aspects of your journey.
1. OUR CONTRACT
Your booking is made with Your Local Companion. By confirming a booking via our website, email, phone, or in person, you enter into a binding agreement with us. The details of your trip, including services provided, will be specified in your booking confirmation. Please review this confirmation carefully and notify us immediately of any discrepancies. We are not responsible for costs arising from errors not reported in a timely manner.
2. VALIDITY
The details, including prices and itineraries, are valid for the specified period in your booking confirmation. Any changes to prices or conditions after that period will not affect already confirmed bookings.
3. DEPOSIT REQUIREMENT
To secure your booking, a non-refundable 30% deposit per person per trip is required at the time of booking. If your booking is made within 45 days of departure, full payment is required immediately.
4. ACCEPTANCE OF BOOKING & FINAL PAYMENT
Once we receive your deposit, we will issue a confirmation invoice, at which point a binding contract exists. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 45 days before departure. If the balance is not received on time, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain your deposit.
5. CANCELLATION BY THE TRAVELER
If you need to cancel your trip, cancellation fees will apply as follows:
o Cancellation 45 - 31 days before departure: 30% fee p/p (=deposit) will be charged;
o Cancellation 31 - 21 days before departure: 50% p/p fee will be charged;
o Cancellation 20 - 8 days before departure: 75% fee charged;
o Cancellation 7 days before departure: 100% charged.
We strongly recommend obtaining travel insurance that covers trip cancellations. No refunds will be issued for unused services if you decide to leave the trip early.
6. CANCELLATION BY US
We reserve the right to cancel a trip under exceptional circumstances, such as natural disasters, political instability, or insufficient bookings. If we cancel, you will have the option to transfer your payment to a future trip or receive a full refund, excluding any non-recoverable costs.
7. BOOKING CHANGES & AMENDMENTS
If you need to change your booking, please notify us at least 45 days before departure.
o Transfers to another person or a different departure date are possible if made within this timeframe and availability.
o Any other changes may incur an administrative fee.
8. INCLUDED SERVICES
Your trip price covers:
o Accommodations as specified in the itinerary
o Transport during the tour
o Guided activities and meals as listed in the itinerary
9. EXCLUDED SERVICES
The trip price does not include:
o International airfare
o Personal expenses, additional activities, or meals not included in the itinerary
o Travel insurance
o Visa and passport fees

10. PRICING & SURCHARGES
Prices are subject to change based on market conditions, availability, and exchange rates. However, once your deposit is paid, your price is locked in, and no further adjustments will be made.
11. AGE & HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
Most of our trips are suitable for travelers aged 18 and above. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are physically fit to participate in the activities planned. Please check our website for specific trip requirements.
12. SMALL GROUP POLICY
We guarantee departures once at least one fully paid traveler is confirmed unless otherwise stated. If the minimum group size is not met, we reserve the right to cancel the trip up to 30 days before departure and offer alternative options or a full refund.
13. PASSPORTS & VISAS
You are responsible for ensuring that your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your trip dates and for obtaining any necessary visas.
14. TRAVEL INSURANCE
Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellation, and personal liability is required.
15. ITINERARY FLEXIBILITY
Due to the nature of travel, itineraries may be subject to changes without prior notice. While we strive to adhere to planned schedules, adjustments may be necessary due to weather conditions, logistical issues, or unforeseen circumstances.
16. LIABILITY
We are not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage unless caused by our negligence. Our liability is limited to the cost of the affected services.
17. AUTHORITY ON TOUR
The trip leader or guide has full authority on all matters regarding safety and group dynamics. Failure to comply with their instructions may result in removal from the trip without a refund.
18. ACCEPTANCE OF RISK
Travel inherently involves risks, including unpredictable weather, challenging terrain, and cultural differences. By booking a trip, you acknowledge these risks and accept personal responsibility for your decision to travel.
